Terms of sale and licence

Last updated: 2026-02-11

These terms apply when you buy a licence for a Tivy plugin, including Shipping Rate Tables Pro. Please read them before you buy. By completing a purchase you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Tivy is a trading name of Neil Jarman t/a Grosvenor Computer Services. Address: Calle el Horno 25, Adeje 38678, S/C de Tenerife. Email: [email protected].

In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Tivy, and “you” means the person or business buying the licence.

2. How the sale works

Our plugins are sold through Freemius, Inc., which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. That means Freemius takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax that applies in your country, and issues your invoice. Freemius’s own checkout terms also apply to the payment itself.

We remain responsible for the plugin: what it does, its updates and its support.

3. What you’re buying

A licence is a yearly subscription that gives you:

  • a licence key to activate the Pro add-on on the number of websites in your plan (1, 5 or 20);
  • updates to the Pro add-on, delivered through your WordPress dashboard, for as long as the licence is active;
  • email support for as long as the licence is active.

The Pro add-on works alongside the free Shipping Rate Tables for Flexible Shipping plugin, which you need installed. Both need WooCommerce and Flexible Shipping, which are made by other companies. Some Pro features also need Flexible Shipping Locations. Check the requirements on the product page before you buy.

Staging and development copies of a licensed site don’t count towards your site limit.

4. Renewal and cancellation

Your licence renews automatically each year at the price you first paid, unless we’ve told you otherwise at least 30 days before the renewal date. Freemius emails you before each renewal.

You can turn off automatic renewal at any time from your Freemius account or by emailing us. Your licence then runs to the end of the year you’ve paid for and is not renewed.

5. When a licence expires

If your licence ends, the Pro add-on keeps working on your sites as it is. You stop receiving updates and support. You can renew at any time to get them back.

6. Your rights to the code

The plugins are released under the GNU General Public Licence, version 2 or later. The GPL gives you the rights it describes over the code, and nothing in these terms takes them away. The licence key, updates and support are a service from us and are not covered by the GPL. They are for the sites in your plan only, and you may not share or resell your licence key.

The Tivy name and logo are not covered by the GPL and may not be used without our permission.

7. Support

Support is by email to [email protected]. We aim to reply within two working days (UK time). Support covers installing, setting up and using our plugins and fixing faults in them. It doesn’t cover changes to your shipping set-up, custom development, or problems caused by other plugins or themes, though we’ll tell you if we spot one.

8. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying. Our Refund policy explains how.

9. Our responsibility to you

We test our plugins carefully, but no software is free of faults. Shipping Rate Tables only reads your shipping settings to display them; it doesn’t change what customers are charged at checkout. You remain responsible for checking that your shipping settings and the tables on your site are correct, and for keeping backups of your site.

If you buy as a business, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim, and we’re not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for indirect losses.

If you buy as a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, and nothing in these terms affects them.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Changes to the plugin and these terms

We may improve the plugin, change its features or stop selling it. If we stop selling it, existing licences keep receiving updates and support until they end and are not renewed.

We may update these terms. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we’ll email you about any change that matters.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, please email us first at [email protected]. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
